Terra Sense

Terra Sense is the ingestion and interpretation layer for field instrumentation. It takes readings from compatible soil probes, environmental sensors, weather stations and IoT gateways, normalises units and sampling intervals, and holds them against the zone and crop they belong to. From there it watches for drift, gaps and readings that stop making sense before an analysis is built on them.

Illustrative. A reading is judged against the zone’s own history rather than a fixed threshold, which is what makes a slow drift legible.

Capabilities

What Terra Sense does

Reads the sensors and gateways a farm already runs, and turns their output into a consistent, comparable record.

Soil moisture and temperature
Readings from compatible probes are normalised to common units and depths, so two zones instrumented by different vendors can be compared directly.
Salinity, EC and pH integration
Where the connected instrumentation reports electrical conductivity or pH, those channels are ingested and tracked alongside the rest of the zone's record.
Air temperature, humidity and light
Above-ground conditions are recorded per zone rather than per farm, which is what makes a microclimate visible instead of averaged away.
Rainfall and irrigation events
Water arriving at a zone is logged from rain gauges and, where the data is available, from irrigation records, so a moisture response can be attributed.
Sensor anomaly detection
Flatlined channels, implausible steps, drifting calibration and silent devices are flagged as instrument problems rather than passed through as agronomy.
Historical trends
Every channel is retained as a time series against its zone, so current conditions are read against the same field's own history rather than a generic baseline.

Data flow

Reads from

  • Compatible soil and environmental sensors
  • Weather stations
  • IoT gateways over MQTT or HTTP
  • CSV and historical data imports

Request a Farm Assessment

Every agricultural operation has a different data footprint. Terra deployments are scoped according to the farm, existing hardware and required intelligence capabilities.

The assessment establishes what your existing hardware can support before anything is committed.
